There is a woman in the Brighton beach, Sheepshead Bay and Coney Island neighborhoods who keeps asking everyone for a dollar. Even if you give her a dollar, she still continues to ask for a dollar. You may see her in the Coney Island, Brighton Beach and the south Sheepshead Bay neighborhoods of Brooklyn. On Wednesday November 16 2016 I was on Brighton Beach and Coney Island Avenue waiting for B68 (Coney Island direction). She asked me if I have a dollar and I said no and didn't give her anything. She then asked everyone over and over again for a dollar, even after they gave her a dollar. Then the B68 bus came. Bus operator looked angry as I got on. He said looking angry to get on the next bus and he's closing the doors. I start to get off and then operator says to me "not you, her". Operator insists she get off the bus and told her that he let her on last time but he won't let her on this time. She didn't pay her fare so I put in a few coins (I have an unlimited MetroCard). This woman than tells bus operator I like her and he doesn't. The entire time on the bus she asked everyone for a dollar. She scolded the bus operator how the other lady is a "nice transit worker" compared to him, and how I like her compared to him. I saw her count all her dollars and asked why didn't she buy a MetroCard with all those dollars. She said "I don't need a MetroCard." I told her the bus ain't free. She asked "the woman in the red hair" to give her a dollar. The woman gave her 35 cents to shut her up. She then kept asking everyone if they have 65 cents. She was annoying. Her "auntie" (an older woman) came on the bus ("auntie" paid fare). She hugged auntie and told her she will behave herself. Her auntie then left the bus.

The video above is my 2nd encounter. The bus operator asks her to leave the bus and isn’t moving the bus until she leaves. She says she is going to "work" but the last time I saw her she also said she is going to "work", even though the bus was going the other direction. She left and probably got on the next bus 2 stops behind us. This stop was West Brighton Ave. and west 2 street and the bus was heading towards Windsor Terrace/Pitched Square. It was the day before thanksgiving. I sat behind her and started filming as soon as I saw she was on the bus and she didn't see me film and probably didn't know I was in the bus.

I haven't seen her, but I'm not sure what the surprise is here. Mentally ill people are riding public transit all the time in NYC.
