I currently have an NJ license and am thinking about getting a new york license - how much does it cost? Does new york city have an MLS system? If yes can you schedule like 5 showings with something like a showingtime (house A 9-10am, house B 10-10:30am, etc etc)?
The NY Salesperson course can cost anywhere between $250-$500 . Yes there is MLS ,however in Manhattan , the RLS is used for the most part, which is the listing service for REBNY (real estate board of New York) - and you need to be a member in order to access it , which I think is another $200ish / year . It's mandatory to join REBNY at most reputable brokerages, and some have fees of their own, and you'll have to have your license under one so ask beforehand when you consider your broker options .
