100% best chance is a transfer within your company. Not sure where, but I'm sure Siemens has an office in Manhattan that probably has a lot of opportunities like that

If you read enough of their posts, you'll know who they are.
Prices have already started to fall in terms of rents. This has been reported by various media including the Wall Street Journal.

Those that came illegally do not have such great lives, many of them living on min. wages.

Sounds quite like what I have read so far and what I expected.
To provide more personal information:
I am frequently in USA, my last vistit was 3 month ago... Of course I would not want to life in a country that I dont know at all.
I also would never quit my job here without having an equall job offer somewhere else. Actually I am working for Siemens and we are running the NYC Metro System, so I see an opportunity to shift from here to NYC without leaving my company.

Cheers

If Siemens has an office in the Greater NYC Area and the OP can transfer to the USA with Siemens sponsorship, then coming to NYC could be a good option/idea.
