I rank in the low 1XX for this exam, been to at least 8 interviews, received like 10 canvass (availability letters), haven't landed anything yet. Interviewed with same panel 3 times.

Each and everytime I get a letter that my rank couldn't be reached.

Is it really by rank?

What have you experienced?

Sometimes I feel the system is rigged.

Have to take days off from work to go to these interviews - to not be hired.

If it is by rank than why call numbers in 1XX rather call the first 20 and hire from there.

I don't get it.

PS I have the legal experience been working in the legal field for a while now, know court procedure and how things work - from filing and efiling docs at court

Even though there's guidelines they're supposed to follow I feel like it's rigged too. They probably do judge you based on your appearance and work experience. The procedure is they're supposed to pluck at least 3 candidates every time then hire someone from that group. So yes, someone ranked below you on the list can get hired. And the rejection letters they send are generic so I wouldn't take what it saids literally.

But I see you were hired so I guess it all worked out!
