Did the Koreans use to run all the Bodegas? This industry changes hands very quickly.

I don't necessarily agree with the strike because the only ppl it's hurting are the ppl in the neighborhood.
Associated, the chain that has huge presense in the poor areas of NYC, and does a lot of food stamp business is turning in that direction.

Either that or they got bought out by someone that is providing the green and healthier foods. All the Associated locations that I have seen switched names, and concept.

How exactly does one ethnic group come to dominate an industry that really isnt tied any ethnicity in its concept. Bodegas dont sell Yemeni only products. They sell American products.

Chinese food is chinese so . . . . And yet even the chinese have branched out and dominated the Sushi restaurants.

But what about corner stores? I believe even gas station are dominated by a particular ethnic group. Same with Subway restaurants, Dunkin Donuts. They are both mostly South Asians.

Arabs, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, and Mexicans have plenty of bodegas in NYC. Probably some Chinese and Koreans too.

Deleting 200,000 Uber apps caused UBer's CEO to withdraw from Trump's advisory council. Protests do work.Betsy DeVos's nomination is hanging on to life support due to protests. I think she'll still get in, but barely due to protests. If you thought protesters were loud under Obama you haven't seen anything for the next 4 years.
