Better yet, WEST Orange and Morristown.

For a PATH station...It was anticipated that PATH would reach GCT. With all thats goin on under 42 st dont see how it wud fit lol

the tunnels and tubes running around the city is a big mystery to most. All the major cross streets have some form of tubes. If you care to figure it out, you would look at all the various rail lines that were discontinued.

The newest tunnel right now is coming from LIC to GCT, for the LIRR. Bigger options in transport can be had if they could some how add to the CSX industrial lines to the mix. It would benefit road traffic with a line from Newark airport to Citi field. Being able to connect the airports is what Coumo is trying to accomplish. That Airtrain mono rail fro JFK was supposed to connect with Laguardia.

But really, all these transportation projects have to be for everyday commuters. Those folks with kids dont want to be shleping bags on the E train, let alone the bus.

Is PATH compatible with any of the other trains that go into Manhattan (IND/BMT trains, IRT trains, Metro-North, LIRR, NJ Transit)?

Yes - I believe PATH has the same specifications as the IRT.

Oh, that’s interesting. The PATH train terminus isn’t far off from the 6 train terminus downtown. I wonder if it’s possible for them to be linked into a through-running line.

Or if the plan to cross the Hudson with the 7 train ever happened, perhaps a link to PATH might make sense.

Please no more trains that connect one urban area to another. How about improve NJ transit, LIRR & metro north. Let's not increase the population density. Move to the suburbs people.

Funny you should mention that. There was a concept plan that discussed exactly that during the rebuilding of the WTC. MTA was willing to research further, but Port Authority killed it.
