The Executive Branch (Trump) has a lot more control over Immigration than you may think. The fact that some left wing Kangaroo Court blocked him, is not a "reality" check. Over 80% of that Courts cases have been overturned. Thats the reality check. This EO is far from over. All that has been accomplished is a "Delay" but the Train is till rolling.

I think its the Liberal Left, who is going through a "Reality Check" and getting slammed from all sides, since they have no real Power to stop anything that comes out of this Administration that is Constitutional by the Supreme Courts opinion, annot some flea bitten back region "wanna be" Court.

You can look for a enthusiastic increase in Deprtations of Criminal Aliens and illegal Aliens with no record, as ICE and Local Law Enforcement begin working together to uphold the Law of the Nation. In the raids, any Illegal is deported, Criminal record or no Criminal record, since the Law is the same for each, and they say they won't pick and choose which Law to obey, unlike Obama Administrations Police.

You can also see that the "Foundation" of Sanctuary Cities is being eroded by ICE and the revoking of Federal Funds. Talks is cheap now, and they all yell defiance, but you can see the craks forming in the bases, as the ICE Raids continue, and the money starting to dry up. If Texas gets its Bill passed, they are done with any Sanctuary areas, including the area where the woman Sheriiff said she would not comply with the Government. The Bill will allow her to be removed from office, arrested and prosecuted. The beginning of the end.

So far they've pretty much all been convicted felons or self admitted gang members. But what the heck, lets protest their deportation anyway.

It is not that simple. Employers simply have to do a good faith effort to verify identities in order to skirt legal trouble. In most cases, you just have to run a SS number to determine if it is valid.

I get what you are driving at but it isn't cost effective nor effective as a deterrent. Secure the borders first (seal the hole) then figure out what to do with what has already leaked in (bail them out of the country).

Well, if people bypassed the legal immigration system and broke the law, then there should be consequences. If people disagree with the law, then there is a process for changing it.

Executive branch can only enforce the laws, not make them. As Trump is learning. Half the country didn't vote, so all the opponents of the Republicans have to donid organize those people and get a candidate not bogged down in scandal after scandal.

Meanwhile The party that had the White House often loses the midterm elections. I think some of you aren't aware of how the government works. The courts, congress, and the White House limit each other's power. The appeals court blocked Trumps ban and his only option was to appeal it to the US Supreme Court. He has declined. So let this be your reality check along with Trump's The President alone cannot unilaterally set immigration policy.

That just shows how much power aliens have obtained in this country.

Spare me with the endless possibility routines. We have to start securing our borders and stop making excuses as to why it's okay to have OPEN borders. Americans want a resolution to our illegal immigrant problem. We have laws on the books and they need to be adhered to. If you aren't here legally, you go back to wherever you came from. I don't care why because when I travel to other countries as an American, all that the people at the checkpoints want to see are my papers to enter their country legally, period.

When did Hitler ban all Muslims? Stop with the ridiculous comparisons. This is not WWII and there is no genocide going on here. We have a broken boarder crisis that people like you refuse to admit, with MILLIONS of people here ILLEGALLY, many of whom have not been vetted, but that's okay. We are targeting potential terrorists, drug dealers and traffickers and other people that are coming here to do harm to our country. The sooner more people realize this the better.
Trump won the electoral college. Hillary won the popular vote, and half the nation did not vote. The majority of Americans did not vote for Trump. So it's a bit inaccurate to project most Americans as hard core anti immigrants.

Hillary's constant email scandals didn't help and the Democrat party was an utter disaster. That helped Trumpbgrt enough electoral votes.

You didn't agree with that reasoning when DeBlasio won with a paltry 17% turnout. You repeatedly referred to it as a mandate.

De Blasio won the majority of voters who bothered to vote. The same cannot be said of Trump, who lost the popular vote.

We'll if De Blasio gets reelected, but so far it seems no one else is interested so he wins by default.
