I'm moving with my family from Brooklyn to Boston in May, and we're looking for a good moving company that provides packing as well. As I'm with a little baby, we don't have time to pack everything ourselves.
I've heard that there are companies that offer full packing services - do you have any recommendations for me?
Beware of movers who quote unrealistic prices. They can just abscond with your belongings or show up at your new place and demand big extra charges to unload.
My advice is to use one of the big nationwide moving companies like North American Van Lines, Mayflower, United Van Lines, Allied or Graebel (oops Graebel just shut down!).
Interstate moves are competitive so be sure to get several estimates and in writing.
This is an old thread so I guess the OP already found someone, but in case anyone else is looking, Shea Movers is highly rated. I knew of it because the owners live in my area (have never used them myself). I referred a friend to them and she was very happy with the move and service. They get good reviews on Yelp, too, although sometimes Yelp cannot really be trusted.
I just saw your post. If it's not too late, I recommend LouMovesYou dot com. He lives and works from the Williamsburg area.
