I have taken the Car Inspector test for MTA back in 2009. I recieved my letter back in September 2010 stating my list number. When i called the DCAS hotline in the past it stated i was on and outstanding certification list. Now recently it has been stating i am not on an outstanding certification and that my list number is 216, the original eligible total is 482, the last eligible certified is #320, and the last eligible appointed is #23. what does this mean? am i still going to be considered for future hirings based on the list?
i was on an outstanding certification as well and my list number is #82* for exam 6063 but when i called DCAS they told me everything was fine. After a few months when i called the hotline the "outstanding certification" magically disappeared. IMO no worries.But i would call DCAS during the week and try to get a live operator to ask. 212-669-1357 or 212-669-7000. BTW there are many MTA and or city job list sub-forums and forums you could post in to get a quicker response.
He also posted on the NYC Transit forums and they answered his questions. With DCAS though you have to stay on top of things though since it's an inept city agency.
What does last eligible certified mean? On the 6063
it's #3,615.
Does anyone know how I can contact mta my supervisor from my job just got called for train operator , and when I call dcas all I am told is that Iam on an outstanding certification for conductor exam 8094 can anyone help me or tell me any steps I should follow to get further details on this exam I receive a 95 on the test can anyone help me
Outstanding certification means their accepting applicants and your found eligible for selection. Not on outstanding certification means they cease selecting applicants your list has not been reached
Outstanding certification means your name was giving to a hiring agency for further processing. It is a great thing I called two days ago, so congrats to anyone on an outstanding certification.
I was on "outstanding cert" but later was taken off.. 100#s away.. so gotta wait again..
