The Dems hate America. They want socialism and know that the only way to achieve that goal is to change the demographics of the country to those more favorable to their cause. Their lovefest with illegals exists purely to secure the votes of the subsequent generations.

You're not "zinging" me by pointing out that the government must provide certain critical functions such as safety, emergency response, roads, schools and defense. You might regret that. Though people think they can save enough money for medical care in old age, even middle class people (and you told us how much money you make) are often wiped out by illnesses in old age. If you were sick in a hospital or nursing home, medicaid could come after your house. Why give your money to the medical professional when you can give it away to your children, and find other ways of protecting family assets from the medical profession and the government.
The thing is you can't take money with you, but your money can benefit YOUNGER people in your family, including your children.

A commitment to be "fair to all" is NOT the same as saying undocumented people get to stay when they are caught in misdemeanors.
Either the paper's editor was being deliberately deceitful when he slapped the misleading subheading onto the headline that you ran with, or he didn't read the article either.

Let me put this another way. Where in the article does the DA say that the new policy will prevent undocumented immigrants from being deported?
The policy is described very clearly two times in this article. Then, in addition to statements specifically about the policy, the DA goes on to fluff his constituents by adding that everyone deserves fair treatment. But that still doesn't say anything about illegal immigrants escaping notice and deportation.

Occupy really opened my eyes to the reality of leftist thought. I was very involved, although only at the park a few times. Most of my involvement came from lodging the prisoners after they were rounded up nightly. Where I was working at the time was used for mass lodging during large events. It sucked to say the least, and I was not impressed by their rhetoric and nonsense.
