The hood people typcially are native New Yorkers however and are the strongest and most resilient people you will ever meet in the world.

I wouldn't care if 100% of these gentrifiers and yuppies stayed the fuuuck out of my hood. My hood and others like it are already homes to diverse populations of black people, immigrants, and working class whites who have deep roots here.
Sounds like someone just got their final eviction notice.

Don't worry bro, just join the caravan of poor, broke mofos movin' south. But when you get there, try to actually pool your money and actually buy some property (You know, the same thing you guys always criticize the Jews in Brooklyn for. But did you notice that they aren't being gentrified out?) That way, when the next wave of gentrification comes (and it will come) you can actually be on the profitable end instead of the bottom of the boot end.

They just left and didn't make nearly as much noise about it is my hunch. The suburbs were calling and that seemed like the grand solution. I don't think we will ever see some mass exodus of black and brown people out of the hood in large cities because they're sick of all the white people fixing the broken windows and rehabbing old buildings and storefronts lol.

Id be more worried about living in 2017 and still using the word "yuppie." Better go put on your leg warmers and find the batteries for your Walkman.

That hasn't worked for everyone every time, just so's you know. For example American history is full of examples of African Americans pooling resources, building wealth and having it stolen by white communities, who then have the power to cover it up.

Full documentary about "Black Wall Street" and the violence, property theft and cover up:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banished_(film)

Full documentary about African American families being violently forced to to leave everything they owned in towns in four states. He talks with direct descendants on both sides of the issues. There's also a great scene where the film maker interviews the "knights of the kkk" leader

You might have heard of these ones:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilmin...ection_of_1898

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosewood_massacre

Whether you believe it's germane to your point or not, always good to know some history right?

No one denies that horrible things happened to blacks and others throughout history. Jews had their fair share of horrible times. But you're talking about things that happened a hundred years ago and not to anyone alive now, most likely. That shouldn't preclude any black person now from making smart decisions that would create stability for themselves and their families.

The Jews are the main landlords in the city. They aren't going anywhere unless they want to. The poor can't afford to purchase and don't have good credit either, so the odds are stacked against them on that end. All they can do is be angry and yell racism. They'll never be able to band together like the Jews because there is too much self-hatred within the communities of color. Blacks hating blacks. Hispanics hating blacks and so on.
