10 years ago perhaps. I don't know what part of town you're in but I see plenty of Asian guys with white or latina girls.

Living in a city as mixed as NYC its sorta weird if you've only dated people of the same "race"
Like there's some pathology going on in the person's head.

The woman in the video btw, is a Black American Yale grad and tech writer/entrepreneur. She primarily dates middle/upper income black men, but is still single, despite being beautiful, in shape, highly educated and upper income. Part of the issue is, a lot of black middle/upper income men know there are a lot of single black women and choose to play the field instead of settling down.

We can't have strong, prosperous Black communities without the men being willing to commit, get married and raise a family with black women. The state of blacks in the U.S. is very sad.

I have nothing against other races, I'm simply a strong believer in middle/upper income black people pooling their resources together and developing high functioning communities. This is the only way to ensure that future generations of black men and women are truly able to thrive and compete in this global world.

Middle/Upper income Black men need to understand that chasing after white, asian, hispanic etc women will NEVER help blacks collectively, because their money will ultimately be benefiting OTHER communities, not their own.

Its weird to feel obliged (or pressured by odd people like you) to date someone of the same race. What is this? 1850? You date who you end up dating - because you are attracted to them and them to you.

This divisive crap you put forth is backwards and harmful.

Then there's the attitudes that some women have.

You also have black men that don't feel successful until they've "married up". What black men do isn't any any different from other minority men. The difference is the amount of hostility they receive from inside their community and outside.
I've never heard an educated black man being called a "sellout". And exactly what hostility are you talking about. If it's hostility given or felt, it's likely from individuals who have issues with themselves.

Marrying up often is the product of a deeply held inferiority complex such, in some people don't want to marry anyone darker. this is the sentiment held among some Latin Americans, Indians, even some American blacks who refuse to marry anyone of a darker complexion than them.

Maybe you haven't but I have. You can spin it however you want, but there's a lot of self-hatred in the black community, which is why I laugh when black women complain about black men not wanting to date them. when they're part of the problem. If education is so valued in the black community, then perhaps you can explain the ongoing low performance rates overall by black students. It's still pretty abysmal. The Caribbean blacks like to put themselves on a pedestal by pointing to how much more they value education. The same is true of the Africans that come here. Nevertheless there is still a large gap in education achievement in the black community as a whole.

Exactly... So this nonsense about how educated successful black men sooo scorn black women is BS. Now you have your fair share of black men that do scorn black women because they want to "marry up", but some of them certainly just get tired of the nonsense.

nyc isn't really that diverse. interracial relationships are rare in the city.
If you are black and tried to talk to a white girl, she might even run away from you lol

Not all interracial relationships are equal, you will see more of a certain combo than others.
