Has anyone subscribed to the SPECTRUM triple play deal (the one that includes 100Mbps internet, TV and phone with free installation, that is guaranteed for 3 years at $90/month.)
Other than the additional costs for each box, and premium channels, what kind of extra charges and fees have you found? Is the come-on price real or close to it?

My 2 year Verizon FIOS contract runs out in June and I would like to try to lower my monthly bill (now $152.)

I have both services sticking through the wall atop the door.

TIA

They charge extra for DVD service on the boxes as well as a modem rental fee. You can use your own modem however.

There are some slight taxes and fees , that $90 package is more around $100.

Thanks nycc.

Do you mean free modem (as advertised) but a router rental for $10/month...and you can provide your own?

But $100 is cool.

Their modem and router are 2 in 1 so you lease it altogether for $10.

I have internet from spectrum, the top speed, at $60/mon including modem rental.

You should definitely consider getting RCN If it's available in your area.. it's definitely way cheaper than both soectrum and Fios

They charged for the modem when I did not have my own. I bought my own modem after I saw the rental fee...not sure if thats changed as you said it was advertised as free?

Was a bit of a hassle having to call them and provision the modem to enable it to work with their service. I got started with their triple play package as well. My bill is now $160+. Will probably cancel and have roommate to take advantage of their "new member special pricing." They hardly budged when I got thru to their retentions dept. as I told them I wanted to lower my bill after the promotions expired.

Thats the way to do it, but not all areas have fios available. My area only has Spectrum.
