Especially love when the driver asks why he's being stopped and the cop says: "If you had to take a guess, what would you say?"

What a jerk! Also since the driver had a dash cam, he can prove he did not run a red light and this cop was just harassing him.

I didn't see him do anything wrong either. Lights were all green.

Take it to court, fight it and beat it as the man did not eat a red light, and file a complaint against the officer for issuing a false citation.

At about 45 Seconds you see the cop sitting at a red on the opposite side. I guess he assumed both sides were red and thought the guy went through a red but seems as if the cop was wrong. Remember, they are human too. He didnt have to be condescending though i agree. Also the cop seems like he knows hes wrong right away. At 2min mark before the video ends the officer says "You wouldnt be able to check that with a camera"..Whatever that means?

There are two different traffic lights. The first one is on the left in front of the stop line. That is the traffic light he is being cited for. You can't tell from the video if it is green or red. There is a second light on the right, past the intersection which is green. It seems like a strange setup with two lights in such a short distance but the driver has to obey the first one before proceeding. If it was red he couldn't make the right turn.

Light was green, Cop was a dick. This is why I have a dashcam.

Funny thing is, he could of actually gave him a ticket for speeding on that side street instead.

Henna, has Airbourneguy taught you nothing? This video is obviously a fabrication. Cops are ALWAYS right. If we even suggest other wise, we'll hurt their feelings and they'll stop doing their job. this thread and video should be deleted as an obvious attack on the police.

I don't know what isn't clear. He is being cited for the SECOND light, not the first one. You can clearly see that the cop is waiting at the corner, and on his side, the light is red, but on the driver's side, the light is green. The problem is the cop had no way of knowing that, and it doesn't help that the car in front of the driver appears to stop as well, so the cop could only conclude that he was running a red light. If the driver's English was better, he could've simply said that he has a dash cam mounted in his car which always records, which could verify the light being green.

The video is not clear enough to show the color of the light on the left, right in front of the crosswalk. The traffic light on the right is green but it is across the intersection well past the light on the left. Not knowing this intersection I don't know if they are always in sync, i.e. both the same color at the same time. If the light on the left was red, or red with a green arrow for cars turning left, then he went through a red light. Can't tell from the video.

This video has not gone viral so I suspect it's misleading.
