nycha application/shelter (section 8, 2013, apartment)

So I just have a few questions and am hoping that someone can give me a little bit of information. I applied for nycha may of 2013 and have been keeping my application active year after year. I have a 5 month old daughter and currently rent out a room in an apartment (i pay $500/month). Now my problem is that i do receive benefits and the apartment i'm in is a section 8 building and the lady who is renting the room out to me is scared that she will lose her section 8 because im receiving these benefits and i totally understand. I know what she is doing is not accepted by section 8/nycha so she wants me to leave by the end of this month. I have been vigorously looking for an apartment for months and I just don't have any other options at this point. Before i get these questions asked, i will just put it out there.. the father of my child lives in a one bedroom with his grandma and we are no longer together anyway so he cant help me much.. my mother is dealing with immigration issues so she isn't allowed in this country at the moment and i can't move to where she is (canada). I used to live with her but they asked me to leave and said i have to get re-authorization to re enter, don't know my father.. i work of course but apparently dont make enough for these landlords or buildings to even take me serious and i had a bad car accident last year which totaled my car which i was financing so my payments have been pretty scattered so my credit is low. I will be starting a new job in a hospital at the end of july though making much more money.. I am considering going to a shelter which i have been debating for over a year now but it has come to this point.. I just want to know how the process is (i already know that i have to go to PATH) and approximately how long i would be staying in the shelter before nycha will contact me for an interview or something. I'm very desperate and alone and really am trying to stay as positive as possible without breaking down. Please if anyome has any answers for me give me all the answers you may have, thank you

If your income is increasing dramatically at the end of next month, do you think you could persuade your "landlord" to let you stay on for just the one more month? It would be a lot easier for you to find a place of your own with a better salary.

Hi I'm Currently in a DVD shelter with me and my two kids I applied for NYCHA in January 2017 then in February I went to the office in the Bronx to bring them all doucuments that they ask for so my status could be changed to N1 I brought the two police reports the advocacy letter and my Oder of protection they took the documents and with in a few weeks I got a letter back saying they couldn't change my status because the incident was just for one report and that I needed a second incident report meaning another police report that wouldn't be a problem I just was pissed that I had to do everything all over again so I went back to the office in April with my advocacy letter that had much more of my Dv history Three police reports and two Oder of protection one from
Family court and another from criminal that was on 4/26/17 The next day on 4/27/17 I went to the self serve portal and it said my status was changed to N1 I was so freaking happy Then I checked the self serve portal again the next day and it said I had a interview date for 5/19/17 so in my head I'm like wow this is all moving so fast 5/19/17 come I go to my interview I had all my papers in Oder what ever document she asked me for I had it the interview went well and I got certified five days later on 5/24/17 borough list of the Bronx once again I was so happy now that you all have the details I'm still waiting for NYCHA to select a development in the Bronx for me does anyone know how much longer I will have to wait oh I'm approved for a two bedroom apartment

I`m pretty much in the same situation. Except, I only just went for my interview Monday (08/28/17). Everyday I`m checking to see if my status has changed but it`s still up for review. Have you gotten any updates as of now ? I know its probably to soon but ???????
