The only true measure of power is the ability to leverage force. Sometimes that means throwing punches. Anyone who outgrows the ability to do so should tread lightly else they may find themselves at a major disadvantage should the need arise.

Can't reason with people who don't listen. Do some research to find how your tax money is used. While you may not agree with the way every dime is spent that's the way it is until someone comes up with a better plan....

We pay federal taxes largely to wage war around the world in order to protect corporate interests and control global resources. Global domination doesn't come cheap.
It has nothing to do with your needs or my needs or even our needs.
This right here!!! Everyone should research how much of the budget is allocated to defense spending.

Wars are NOTHING but profit making excursions for corporations. Sold to the masses as some patriotic and altruistic act. Each and every one of them. I get so annoyed when I see how some veterans struggle after seperating from the military. There shouldn't even be a need for charities set up to supply basic necessities to veterans. This should be fully funded by the govt and corporations who make mind blowing profits from these wars. Halliburton alone can afford to donate $100 million yearly to such trust.

Veterans get free medical, college for them is free, they get subsidized loans to buy houses and start businesses, if they were mentally or physically injured during the war they get disability checks, etc. People underestimate how much veterans can get in benefits.
