I live in Ridgewood. Both would.

And in realtor talk its GlDa, not G-Dale. G-Dale is too thugged out fo'shizy for the realtor. It wouldn't market well. But in reality, these days the realtors would just call it all Ridgewood or Bushwick. Either or gets the hits on Craigslist, but Glendale not so much yet.

Maybe they can get that hip hop catchet that the wide-eyed transplants love. Maybe you can force through something like Bed-Stuy Do or Die? Glendale Burn or Bail? That sounds pretty forced.

Yea, corny is what makes the kids feel good about it being too thugged out. Get the right slogan, make them feel real urban.
