Yeah that's me. I'm 26 years old and college educated, as such I prefer not to speak hood slang. I am very familiar with slang, and I even use it every once in a while in Fordham and around friends. I live in Fordham, but have barely been there over a year (main reason for Fordham was the cheap rent, and being close to the D and the 4 trains). I grew up in Uptown Manhattan, pretty much equally split between Wash Heights (well versed in Dominican slang as well), and Harlem, a little more time in Harlem. You can write and speak properly and be from the hood.

BTW, welcome to the forum Vin

What??? I don't know how long RICARDOS exist, but I'm pretty sure quite a while. It's on 2nd ave. btwn. 110th & 111th st. it's a really good steakhouse even with outdoor seating. Service is excellent. Food is excellent!!! And a lil pricey to. The filet migon I believe was about $40. But delicious. Cuts like butter. Try it. It's pretty crowded on the weekends.
