There is a huge scam surrounding the ownership and licensing of food carts/trucks. I'm not sure how it works in it's entirety. It's surprisingly similar to the way the taxi medallion system work, but not by design. Most of the licenses were acquired decades ago, and now get rented/leased out. The guys who actually work the truck make next to nothing.

Applying this same standard then every US city sucks. The suburbs all suck too.
In Hawaii my family eats an almost 100% natural food diet consisting mostly of vegetables fruits, olives, beans, fresh fish, fresh herbs, a few kinds of oils. We do not use caffeine. We often cook at the beach as a family gathering. No money is exchanged. We pray and laugh and care about eachother.

Theres no french fries, no pizzas, no pasta, no sugar, no booze, no drugs, nothing addictive. Not many sweets. No unhappy food truck guys knickle and diming you and stressing you out for toxic foods. Even if your favorite NYC restaurants have good tasting food, is it health promoting?

Why don't you go live in Hawaii then? Why do you stay in NYC if it's just a horrible place?

Feel free to do that here. Go buy vegetables, fruits, olives, beans, fresh fish, fresh herbs, and oils. Might not be able to cook it on a beach here though. Or start a restaurant. Or move back to Hawaii. Just do *something* about it instead of just complaining.

He probably can't afford to live in Hawaii. Too expensive there.

Plus the mercury from all the "fresh fish" there polluted his bloodstream already.

Well that's great. Why did you ever leave? (not being snide). Can't you go back? (again, not being snarky).

I think you live in a very different New York than anyone else here does.
