I'm a big fan of good All You Can Eat Buffets. Nowhere else can you get such a bang for your buck and eat so well. I hate the fine dining trend in Manhattan and Brooklyn these days, where you walk into a restaurant and they serve you these small portion plates that cause you to leave hungry. With that said I think it would be nice to creat an exhaustive list of Decent All You Can Eat Buffets you've been to in NYC sand organize it by borough and cuisine style. Add descriptions and price if you can too. Please don't put Buffets that you've never tried but seen on the street, I don't want to go there and it's garbage.

I'll start with four of my favorites

1. Shangari-La in Pelham Bay, Bronx. $20 per person Sushi buffet. Good quality, tons of options, great decor
2. Spring Shabu Shabu in Flushing, Queens. $11 during the week, $15 on weekends + $4 for steak or seafood plate (other proteins are included). This is a great Hot Pot Buffet. The highlight here is the vast variety of vegetables, mushrooms, tofus, noodles and the great broth. The decor is nice to. Very busy family environment.
3. 99 Favors in Flushing, Queens. $20 per person for hot pot, $25 for BBQ, $30 for Hot Pot/BBQ combo. Nice decor, this place is great because it merges hot pot with BBQ. And you can do both there.
4. Chinese Buffet in Co-op City Bartow Mall. $17 per person. Run of the mill Chinese food nothing to special except for the unlimited crab legs. Also the place has been renovated and so it has nice decor

There is The Buffet in College Point and Century Super Buffet in Queens Village. Also some of the Indian restaurants in Jackson Heights have lunch buffets.

I've been looking for good Chinese buffets. But they're harder to find than a seat on the 4 train during rush hour.

Honorable mention goes to the Ruby Tuesday in Times Square which, despite being a tourist trap, has an all-you-can-eat salad bar, which is unheard of for that part of Manhattan.

ANDAZ (79th and First Ave.) has a very nice Indian Buffet luncheon @ $12.95 pp.

My favorite buffet is ICHI UMI on 32nd just East of Fifth Ave. Pan Asian including about 50 different sushi. $18.95 Mon-Thursday lunch. More on weekends and evenings.

East Ocean Buffet - Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. I wouldn't recommend it.
New China Buffet - Staten Island. It was okay but haven't been there in a long time. I remember it being pretty cheap.

Picnic Garden in Flushing for Korean BBQ. $30/per person give or take a few dollars depending on whether it's for lunch or dinner, weekday or weekend.
