Hey all,

I'm a member of a non-profit basketball group for those that are 5'8" and under. We're looking for new gym space (no specific days or times). Getting gym space and contacts can be tough, so I'm reaching out here to see if anybody has any contacts or suggestions?

Thanks!

In Flushing, there is this gymnasium across from the FMCP Aquatic Center. It has racquetball, and indoor track, and weights. But also two basketball courts.

LA fitness in Lake Success has courts. X Sport fitness in the Roosevelt Fields mall also has basketball courts.

But indoor space is hard to find. YOu will have to contact private schools, or public school. I dont know how you will convince them to let you use though.

You didn't specify a location but you can try Basketball City located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

There's the Grace Church School on Fourth Ave. and 11th St. They have a nice basketball court. When I used to play for a non-profit organization's basketball team that traveled around to a few cities and played in various leagues, they rented the basketball court at this school for games and practice each week.

I was only a player, so I don't know what the process was to get the rental, and it was years ago, but here's the website. Good luck.

Check with local private schools. Also maybe Chelsea Piers, and I think there is some newer complex in the LES right on the river.
