Again as have been saying the Italian "Mafia" isn't what most have to worry about. But yet am sure in "da Hood" and elsewhere these punks are idolized just like the Sopranos for "living large". Even if again that livelihood comes at the expense of misery to others.
Probably not. Others will quickly fill that void. This is not even a dent in the drug dealing population in Wueens and likeynit a debt in the importers either.
It depends on how much supply it takes off the market, and how disruptive it is to its channels. I never said it was. The article didn't give much detail other then the lavish lifestyle. The ring pushed out of the Bushwick Ridgewood area, which is geographically a good location for distribution as it is very centrally located for a very large population.
Just like Bernie Madoff Wife didn't ask any questions while her husband scammed thousands of people.
Most people get jaded by money, especially people that never had it.
Yep, some people wont consider these drug dealers any worse than bankers. Many feel that narcotics should just be legalized, so dont feel there is any harm in it. If you make the choice it is yours to make.
You have teens to young adult men living in the projects/hood/ low income areas with barely a grade or high school education, no job, and do really nothing all day; but they have tons of money, bling, and are driving sweet rides. That alone is suspect.
Yeah. They're turning a blind eye or following some "better not to ask" policy all the while enjoying the fruits of their criminal activities.
Looking at the perps, am thinking they're Dominican. Seems like all of the latest drug busts have dealt with Dominicans. Don't know if it's a coincidence or what but have to wonder what's driving them to turn to dealing drugs. Am not saying it's a new thing per se, but seems to be an increasing problem. Doesn't give Dominicans a good name overall.
I wonder if these guys are part of the larger Dominican's Dont Play or Trinitario gangs.

The money obviously. Same as any group before them. It's a lot of money and you don't have to have an advanced degree.

What these fools fail to take away from watching the Sopranos or otherwise media depictions of the Mafia is to always have some sort of day (legit) job.
Smart mouthed Meadow Soprano was always digging at her brother AJ for believing their father was only in the "waste management" business. Even the Russians ran that nursing home as front for money laundering/transfer.
OTOH having a job/business is also what often tightens the screws when feds/LE start snooping. Hence all those charges regarding money laundering and taxes. Al Capone for all the evil and bad things he did in the end went to prison for tax evasion charges.
These goofs from "da hood" have huge amounts of money they cannot account for; that alone again raises suspicions.
Am in agreement. In fact, just about every major drug bust here in the boroughs over the last few years has been linked to Dominicans. Media usually leaves that out, but the names tend to be a dead give away. Dominicans have some of the craziest first names. *LOL*

Am here to tell you that Dominicans dealing is nothing new. Have been doing so for years. Am thinking their influence in the scene may be growing as major players. BugsyPal's links seem to indicate that.

People of many different ethnic groups have sold drugs not just Dominicans. They have no worse of "a name" than anyone else.
