I also got a pre-employment letter today to for a temporary position as train operator (yard).
On the letter I received, it states that the list for exam #7604 hasn't been established and that I am being considered for this temporary position.
I am also curious if anyone knows what "List #" refers to?
On the notice, it states my List # as 407.0000.
Does it mean that this is my # from the temporary hiring list since the official T/O list is yet to be established?
I am confused.
Thanks for your input.
This is your list number according to MTA. MTA has sent the list to DCAS who is responsible for double checking and finalizing/establishing the list. This is what I was told when I spoke to MTA yesterday.

Does it mean that list # 407.0000 means that my tentative spot on the list is 407 or 4070 out of x amount of those who took the exam?
Can anybody please help me ibwas not qualified for not indicating if I had a drivers license or permit which I believe I did. Do anybody knows how long the appeal process is.
I got a notice of result letter with grade and list#. States they expect the list to be established in June or July of this year. I got a 91 which isn’t that great considering how many people took the test. List # in the 1800’s.
I took the exam received a score of 91.667 and am #1461 on the list, not sure how good that is for Train Operator but I know if I had that list number on sanitation I'd be getting called or had been called by now lol. Does anybody here now how good (or bad) that list number is for THIS exam?
I got a 90.00 and my list number is 2623. What is the difference between this list number and the one they will establish in July 2018? I know the score is not that great but I know people who scored 80.00 in 2009 and they were called ( although after 6 years) so I still have hope to get the call.
