So then he should? The hub and Courts/Yankee stadium are the planned "downtown area."

I'm sorry I live near the Courthouse. I lived near the Courthouse when I was a teen. And other than the demographics of who lives in the neighborhood change a bit the South Bronx is still the South Bronx. As much as I want the South Bronx to be a booming metropolis it is not happening. This article talks about one what maybe 4 block radius of 149th and Bruckner Blvd. I will admit that the cute cafe (note I said CAFE) looks nice. I did not notice any boutiques. Maybe they are planned.

As for Yankee Stadium...anything happening there is sloooooooow moving. I don't see it.

I think they may be exaggerating the scene in the South Bronx, but then again they exaggerated the scene in a lot of Brooklyn neighborhoods, too.

I'll revisit this in 5 years.

That area is ratchet af. I don't understand the hype, saying that something is happening doesn't actually mean that is going to happen.
