My father has medicaid currently, but he is ready to apply for medicare, turning to 65 in 3 months. After getting medicare, can he still keep medicaid and renew medicaid in the future?

Thanks.

Short answer to your query is yes, under certain circumstances (mostly related to income) those on Medicare may also continue or apply to receive Medicaid.

I believe that if one's income is low enough one can still qualify for Medicaid when one is also on Medicare.

Yes your dad can be dual eligible. This all depends on how much retirement income he receives. If it's below the threshold for his family size then he can indeed keep Medicaid. If not, you can forget it.
