What else is it? A place to be "seen"? lol.

People keep saying Shake Shack is "more than the food" but no one has been able to tell me what MORE it offers lol.

Maybe this is the answer I've been looking for. When people say Shake Shack is "more than the food" this must be what they mean lol.

Its fast crappy food without the "stigma" LOL.

Am thinking it is partially a class thing. Not going to see *ghetto* people there in large numbers and I for one like to eat in a *civilized* environment. Would not be caught dead in Mc Donald's, Burger King or any of the other low-end places. When having a burger, go to a place where beers are as much as $17 dollars in some cases. Will not find seedy people in those environments since they won't pay/don't have the money to spend. On the same hand, do not like to frequent places where the masses go, so that means *no* Starbucks and generally no *Chipotle* or *Shake Shack*. Prefer more upscale *hoity-toity* chains. Le Pain Quotidien, Maison Kayser, Little Collins, etc. The prices will stop some people dead in their tracks. Have seen people go on, look at me with disdain then comment about *how expensive* the place is. Just grin to myself and say *good*.

Stated multiple times what the difference is, but you keep wanting to claim it's a place to be seen. Alrighty then.

Would like to hear it myself. Did you say it's for the *experience*? If so, then you just go there to be seen and don't have the balls to admit it.

Am here to tell you that nobody goes to Shake Shack to be seen, but that also nobody goes there to be in and out like you do at a regular low class burger joint. Shake Shack can't even be considered a burger joint really, as the burger was added to the menu as an afterthought. More of a community gathering place than a burger joint. But yes the experience is one part of why you go there.

Food is subjective but to me it's the best burger I've ever had. But also, I don't look at Shake Shack as a chain. Each location is different. Those who are into Five Guys can have it knowing each location you walk into will be the exact same and there is no meaning behind going there other than eating burgers.

Here's an article that sums it up: No. 29: Back to Basics

There is a massive difference between Shake Shack and other burger chains. Heck, even comparing it to Chipotle isn't right.

Shake Shack - A community gathering place?? Don't make a laugh. *LOL* Am wondering what I missed the last time I went to the place.

I'm wondering too. You keep saying you plan on going back as long as it's to a not busy location.

Did not eat at the place as it was crowded and like a zoo. Took the food to go.
