Not sure what you are talking about. That area in between East Williamsburg, Bushwick, Ridgewood and Maspeth was originally referred to as English Kills. I wasn't joking or poking fun at you. Zoom in on google maps at the end of the Newtown Creek, and they still label that waterway as English Kills. I could care less about your actual grammar.

I am sorry. I misunderstood. Thanks for the explanation! Never heard of English Kills before. Is it safe?

The name fell out of use because frankly, no one really lived there as it became extremely industrial. Now people are moving back into the area as there is a crunch for a place to live. It is now mostly transplants that say they are artists, and concrete mixing companies. Most people living there refer to it as Bushwick, but thats open for discussion as it is really East Williamsburg. It is not the safest of areas, but far from the worst. You'd be fine as long as you don't make it a habit of coming home drunk during late night/early morning hours. Some streets can get desolate, but these days there is some sort of hipster cafe or bar on every corner.
