My uncle recently passed. He was a nycers member. He lived in a home for the pass 12 years. During that time. His sister (my mom) his and his brother passed. His mother my grandmother and his other sister passed in 2000. He named my grandmother as a beneficiary. SInce she and everyone has passed and I am the next of kin and only relative am I entitled to a death benefit? These funeral expenses are racking up.

Contact nycers and see if you qualify for the death benefit or not. Only they will have the answer for you. Just google nycers, and you can easily contact them.
