Sadly (for him) it isn't possible legally; so the man will take what he can get, for now.

Do you not understand:

- that "socialist" is no longer the dirty word it was a half-century ago?

and

- that when you use insults like "Bill de Boob" it undercuts your own credibility?

'Socialist' is not the dirty word it once was, but government controlling all development is nuts. Even most so-called "socialist" countries don't do that.

It's not up to him, so I don't really see the point.

Nothing is up to one person.

He a communist. That's what happens after socialism. And yes, it'll eventually be up to one person.

Well Warren Wilhelm is certainly a statist/communist where government power is held by the few. He says "the people", but that is a lie. The power will be centralized to a few elite. This seems to be what New Yorkers want though, so go for it.

The real issue is in the first paragraph of that article: Many if not a majority of NYers *do* want the government in control of real estate. Wither Bill De Blasio was ever mayor or not many people feel entitled to live in NYC and will vote with that in mind. BdB isn't really even the issue, NYers themselves want this.

Would love to see the demographics who were queried and responded. My guess is the vast numbers of those who agree with this insane philosophy fit snugly into the same suspects that elected Herr Wilhelm in the first place.
