So ignorant, more than 50% of brazilians are white like Tommy and Mary Jane from the burbs, with german towns and everything.
Most people are very clueless about other countries. I'm not talking about you, but the person who quoted your post. Brazil is a very diverse country. Southern Brazil is very German. A good example is Tom Brady wife Giselle who is Brazilian of German stock. You also have plenty of Brazilians of Italian descent. Brazilians of Eastern European descent. One of Brazils president was a Czech, and Brazil current President is Lebanese Brazilian. You also have Brazilians of Japanese descent. Not all Brazillians are black Africans from Angola and Guinea, not all Brazilians are Arawak and Yanamamo Amerindians and not all Brazilians or Portuguese stock. Then again I take pride in Brazil because I also have Brazilian roots myself.

No one said it wasn't diverse, but Brazil has a *large* population, something like 207+ million people, so if the population is 50% mulatto or black, well that's well over 100 million people right there.
He's trying to unblack himself. Maybe after he buys skin bleachers and does a Michael Jackson the neo confederates will take him it. Not! LOL
On a more serious note no one gives a DAMN about him being "light" so he can stop deluding himself on that. He's a poor Bronxguyanese who will probably be gentrified out. If he interacted with white people more, he's realized that the society as a whole isn't going to give a **** that he's a little bit lighter than some Black people. But it's hard for Caribbean people to realize the WORLD as a WHOLE doesn't give them gold stars for being "light skinned). Whites across the world won't care, nor will Asians or other non Blacks.
I interact with white people everyday. I can careless about skin color. The only color I care about is a green. But some people are stuck on skin color due to years of depravity, institutionalism and other societal ills either here in United States or back in Latin America and Caribbean. And deep down, some folks do care, look at Jessie Williams who jumped on the Pro Black band wagon and dumped his black wife for a white woman.

Obama was politically pretty active in Chicago's African American community. He clearly had ties.
Of course he does. He fell in love with an African American who did not really take up to his advantages not because the color of his light skin, but a man that was underneath him in status. She took a risk and was rewarded with being the most powerful woman on earth. I admire Michelle Obama, and Obama is clearly a lucky man to have a woman like that by his side.

I wanted to tick you off, and I knew your boyfriend NYwriterdude will respond. My race comment will offend your classists culos.

Well any way, both of you two are liberals and classicist. How will Dreamers impact you guys?

Lets talk about America shall we and NYC. Lets try to get on topic here.
According to CIA factbook, Brazil is 47% white, 43 percent mulatto, 7.1 percent black and the rest Asian, Middle Eastern and Amerindian. Stop being like typical Americans and adding mulatto and blacks as one of the same. They might be the same in America, but in Brazil black and mulatto is a different narrative.
My opinion is I am glad Trump is doing this. And yeah I have a heart but truly I want immigration laws to be revised in many ways. The whole term "dreamer" says a lot. Ive also read the term "anchor babies" which is when an illegal immigrant mom births a child in the USA to get the baby US Citizenship, which should be/is illegal.
Since the economy is in turmoil, two things that make me support sending Dreamers back is they take away jobs from Legal US citizens, and two the Dreamers are in some instances getting easier pathways towards college educations and Financial Aid/scholarships. The education system is rigged to put some US citizens in the background while giving illegal/semi-illegals a better shot at getting college degrees.
I say send them back because Dreamers are breaking the USA Law.
Anything race related goes off topic with classists posters such as Nywriterdude and Pierrepont which are the real racists in the room. We need to get back on topic here. I don't have a love or hate relationship with Daca or Dreamers. These folks got caught in the system due to their parents illegally migrating or overstaying their visa expiration date.
My thing is this, if immigration is a big issue for some Americans, than the US needs to pull out of sphere of influence and stop manipulating, cheating, railing, subjugating, and destabilizing other low income countries. One of the things I learned visiting Guyana a few times is that, its not what we want from America, its what America want to take from Guyana. The US is one of the greatest forces of destabilization in the history of humanity other than the hordes of Genghis Khan and his Mongol Yoke who ruined China, Russia, Persia and the Middle East.

I've been to Brazil multiple times (Rio and sao Paolo). Brazil is diverse but 51% aka the majority are black/mulatto. Brazil just had its first black/mulatto miss Brazil in 30 years, Brazil has never had a black president, most of the poor in Brazil are black.
We all know Brazil has different ethnicities and no one said otherwise. But I've been there and the visible African genes are obvious. They won't be mistaken for white. If you want to use the term "brown" people instead of black so be it.
