Hello!

I've been looking into moving up to the Bronx because of costs. I currently am living on W103 at Broadway and it's really taking a beating to my pockets. Does anyone know of Sedgwick Avenue in the Bronx? I believe the neighborhood consist of Fordham Road and the Yankee Stadium Areas. I've visited the Bronx a few times here and there near the Cypress Avenue areas. It seemed fairly decent, nothing special.

But I just wanna know what others opinions are on the Sedgwick Avenue areas. Any thoughts? What's up down there?

Thanks

Sedgwick is a well known street in the W Bronx that runs from near Yankee Stadium(I think where it intersects with Jerome Ave and the turn for the Macombs Dam 155th street bridge) to Mosholu Pkwy by De Witt Clinton HS

It's hard to term it "Sedgwick Ave areas" because the street runs through all the W bronx neighborhoods of High bridge, Morris hts, Univ hts, Kinsgbridge Hts, Van Cortlandt Village. South of Kingsbridge, Sedgwick runs below a steep hill so it's hard to see the rest of the neighborhood and it can be deceiving and look nice when the surrounding area really isn't

Sedgwick's best area is it's last 10 blocks, where it runs parallel to the jerome Pk reservoir by Van Cortlandt Village. Further south of that it's important that you check out the surrounding area on your own because what looks good to one may not to someone else

I know Sedgwick from W 179th to Fordham well.

It's not as bad as blocks to the east like Andrews/University but it's not a walk in the park.

The more to the north the better.
