Its a fairly safe area for driving aorund. Most of the racism is actually geared toward the Chinese people (one of which I am) due to the increased amount of Chinese people moving to the area. You might get dirty looks from some of the Italians and Asians, but they won't really do anything if you don't insult them.
Plus we have a new poster, Brooklyngurl, whose only posts so far have been to dredge up old threads in order to tell us how racist different neighborhoods are.
Except she seems a bit confused about what racism actually is - it appears she thinks that a dirty look from someone of another race makes an area "racist"

The reason why you're saying something so obviously ignorant is because you've never experienced this. You are not a minority so therefore you will never understand what racism truely is. You are able to walk around Bensonhurst or any other predominantly White neighborhood is because you yourself is White. So quite harping on others who are telling the damn truth from a minority perspective. But like I said: we don't expect you to GET IT.
