Many of us may think that the AMI brackets developers choose discriminate against other groups. I Found this article that will answer the question as to why developers choose some AMI income brackets versus others.
As ****ed up as it is, it does make sense. It's always about money.
Hopefully this will crush the constant bashing of the 60% AMI bracket. Complaining about it day in and day out isn't going to do anything but give you grey hair and high blood pressure. Grey is in, hypertension is not.
thank you for catching that.... and I agree that complaining wont get anywhere... Its a lottery to begin with, and there will be a lot of rules especially with income brackets that will keep many from qualifying...
I look at it as "affordable *luxury* housing" (generally speaking) - It affords me the luxury I want and work hard for but can't currently afford 250 Ashland LOL
