Just wanted to say thanks for sharing these. This is my favorite time of year, especially when the leaves are all different colors. Just plain beautiful.

Wish I were there. I love the Bronx and Westchester this time of year.

we also hit the cloisters once or twice a year . but it is very repetitious. not much changes there

And how many Madonna and Child 's can you bear in one sitting? The pre-Renaissance was entirely too religious.
I get off on the gold monstrances and I like the quiet of walking the collonades.

It has been decades since I last went to the Cloisters. Maybe if we get hit with another warm spell?

Oh I dunno about that. A lot of people that are members live there and go there to relax. Cannot tell me there's a better view while relaxing on a chair overlooking the Hudson River with the Palisades in the background. It is unique in that you think you are in Westchester and not NYC. Only negative may be getting there for some since it is located in a rather isolated part of Riverdale and isn't that big, but there are events there year round to allow people to enjoy the grounds or whatever.

The cloisters and wave hill are the kind of places we will photograph maybe every 2 years or so. The cloisters are very challenging to shoot. The dark and beams of light exceed the range of dslr cameras.

I have used as many as 9 exposures there to make up one exposure range.

I will be in cuba this week . Now that is photography heaven . We spent today in miami . Tomorrow i leave for the keys on a cruise and then on to cuba. This should be a photography trip to remember.

There are loads of them in great shape. They are used as taxi's by local drivers. They get a lot of money for a day around in one of them.
