Good news to the Bronx CB 4 and mostly 60 plus few 80% AMI bracket individuals seeking housing at 294 E. 162nd street, Bronx. The new development is offering 88 apartments ranging from studios $864 up to 3 bedrooms for $1,829. Opens 11/13, Who's in?
Y’all gon learn when you move up to the Bronx how much it ain’t sh**. lol
I am sure individuals who want to live in a new place offering excellent pricing for new apartments would be thankful to have a place to live. For the rest of the individuals who do not like the area, or don't wish to live in the Bronx, then this lottery is not for them. I am sure it will get at least 50k applicants even more... people need a place to live, even an upgrade would be nice.
The fact that it has a 24 hr attended lobby is a good sign. Yes the area isn't grand but its on the rise and the lobby being attended should keep the riff raft out and the building nice.

Noted & understandable but when a smattering of tenants come from shelters and EAU’s, it drastically brings down the property, including its value. Hence the cheap rents. Simply put. You live in the trap, and it’s a traaaap.

These rents aren't that cheap compared to other luxury offerings such as The Ashland and American Copper. Shocked to see this building brackets are higher than those.

I have yet to live in a building where I know 37 units are given to those homeless or from shelters... It makes me wonder if the individuals are given furniture and other aid to get themselves situated.. Also I dont want to assume that just because they are/were homeless that they will be trashing the place... I know that everyone no matter the AMI may easily trash the place, so I would let those fortunate individuals who move in to this place let us know how it goes...
