my personal opinion is GEICO.
rates are extremely low and there's simply no better customer service.
I'm a 30 year old queens resident, super clean driving record, FULL coverage (required by law because of car financing) and i pay only $1500 a year!
My car was broken into, 2 phone calls and 3 hours later i had a new window and all i did was sign the receipt at the glass place. GEICO did everything.
that talking lizard tells the truth!

I found the best deal by finding companies upstate to write the policy, I got far better rates there than anything I could find in the NYC area. Make sure you set aside a half day to just send emails and make phone calls and get a lot of quotes, that is the best advice I can give you.
