I'm not going anywhere NEAR such a place tomorrow. thank you for your help with that. WTF, clearly you are too intellectual for people like me just asking a simple question.
And this is why the country is the way it is; a deep long-running strain of anti-intellectualism...Americans are actually proud to know very little.
I never called your intellectual qualifications into question but evidently you felt belittled all the same -- and people wonder about Trump supporters! Believe it or not, there are quite a few such folks in the homeless shelters of NYC...and they ain't all white, either.
hold your roll! I am faaaaaaaaaaar from anti-intellectual. I decided to say F U to Thanksgiving today and have no desire at this point to eat a traditional meal. I'm doing laundry instead since everyone in my building has cleared out and went "home". Just me and the dogs and whatever I want to do today. In a way I should feel blessed cuz families suck.

LOLOL, there is a bit of truth to this... everyone here has to admit that when you go home - after two days you want to come the hell back home.
I remember being in relationships where I would have to visit their family members and I wanted to shoot myself in the head it was so gross. Yes, humans are mammals, but our brains are unique.
In case the same thing comes up next year, I just saw signs posted on the outside of Trinity Lutheran Church at 164 W 100th St. on the UWS that advertised a free Thanksgiving meal/celebration. It said "Everyone Welcome" so I guess that solves the problem of not feeling invited/wanted. I imagine they may have the same meal every year.
look. i am far from homeless, and i have decided, that next year, i am gonna break out my cart, and hit up the local food pantry for thanksgiving. i want a free turkey, and all the food accoutrements. yes, i will be balling on a budget, and i give no fu**s about it

I was actually thinking about doing the same thing only because I neither want to cook nor wash dishes.
