I found out that JCC has a free R&R program during each winter season on Saturday afternoons. The R&R program includes a free current news discussion group from 2:00-3:00 pm on Saturdays during each winter.
JCC is in Manhattan on Amsterdam Avenue at 76 Street.
At the entrance, pick up a copy of the weekly R&R flyer with the schedule and room assignment or download it from their website which can be found by entering into google: JCC R&R
The 2:00 pm discussion group is opened to ADULTS of ALL backgrounds. The main facilitator of the group is Gia Pace.
Enjoy stimulating discussions on the news and perhaps meet new friends in doing so.
When entering the building, on the main floor to the right towards the back, they have free refreshments from 2:00-5:00 pm during R&R.
