And ladies and gentlemen, this is what the system does to us.

Makes us point fingers.

I agree with the OP. We need more diversity among NYC welfare recipients. The overall pool should be decreased of course, or turned into social insurance, or into straight up cash. But diversity certainly is lacking.

Regardless of color, gender, sex, marital status, religion, etc, only the following should receive welfare:

- Veterans
- Senior citizens
- The disabled (Disabled means that you really can't move without assistance. It's funny how many people claim disability but they go out to parties, and otherwise go out and about wasting tax payer money. They lie!)

If you do not fall into any of the above categories, then no, you can't get welfare.

What about really dumb people that government forgot to educate? Do we consider them disabled? I understand that politicians did this on purpose, but that doesn't make it acceptable for them to basically rot away. If politicians concentrated on education as much as they do on welfare and warfare, maybe this thread would never have been created.

Those are insurable risks. Social welfare doesn't need to be the coverage model.

Every person who is able should get off their butt and look for a job. If it's not a job to your liking keep it till you find one that is. There are people who really need long term assistance but we all know there is a lot of scamming going on.

This place doesn’t bother me. Inconsistencies do. Homeless Loser says he is working and on welfare and he expects the city to pay for his rent for a year. Check out his posts. Do you think this is ethical?
