OP stated that he is pretty attractive so he was probably flattered by the incident. I mean what straight male would post an incident like this on a thread. "i was on a train and this gay dude was checking me out. I didn't know what to do. I froze. Now, i know what ladies feel like... I felt like a piece of meat. #metoo. From now on, i will not invade a woman's personal space. #nowiknowbetter.

OP had two options;

Request the person to stop looking at them. Now this option can backfire on you since the person can state that they are not looking at you, etc. This can also lead to an altercation which can also backfire on you if the person is training in some sort of martial arts or is carrying a weapon.

Move to the other side of the train or move far away from the person. If the person is staring at you he/she will get the hint.

Back in my day we would give them a menacing look back and say either

“What’s really good tho” or “Can I help you?”

Not start a thread about it like OP did
