So you are stating that if you want to drive a car, you should pay to access the road? No free lunch?

... and yet the drivers should be taxed to pay for a transit system they may not be using and one which isn't meeting farebox demands.

You want no free lunch.

Charge $5 for each subway ride and bus. No unlimited Metrocards. Problem solved.

You pay for your OWN falling apart system.

WithDisp said it all: In your own city if you want to own a car do you have to pay to access the road? or for the bags that hold the products you just bought, or denied the pension that your union dues supported, or for the amount of soda that you drink.

These people (those who support globalism) are always comparing with what they are doing in Europe. America is not a socialist country Those who support this overreaching and obvious absurdity, and I would add the support of Democratic sanctuary cities.. they overlook the fact that in most of these cities there is an increase in unemployment, homelessness, drug abuse, murders, and economic instability.

The breaking down of America legally and morally...what will follow when the public allows this, even sides with it...what will follow...debtor prisons...gender bathrooms(oh they already done this) and to also vent there is also an increase in the amount of normalizing dogs on the level with humans...dog on the plane, in restaurants, shopping in food stores...give me a break you liberals are losing your minds. What's cruel! Keeping a large dog in a Manhattan apartment!

Seriously, and then they wonder why there is this affordability and homelessness crisis.

For my own failing system? Nah...is our failing system because your tax dollar is in the system too. So, be careful of what you wish for, it may just come true.

There you go, since one can pay for all of these, what difference does it make for a congestion fee? I see it as another expense for owning a car.

Liberals punish Americans for any transgression from the ultimate goal of total conformity.

Cars (or better yet, trucks, which I prefer), are expressions of individuality. They create a freedom of movement independent from government-run transit systems. Leftism cannot allow individuality in any form because experiencing even small amounts of freedom diminishes the ideology’s hold upon the individual.

There is no movement to create debtor prisons. Gender bathrooms? You mean unisex bathrooms? These are mostly single toilets, so you look the door behind you when you enter the bathroom. There's no issue with safety, and there's nothing wrong with people of both genders using the same toilet!
