Thanks!
74th broadway in Queens has a huge indian demographic. Lot of good Indian restaurants, food trucks, and stores around.

You can take the 7 train (which would be local) to time square or the E train which will land you in port authority (which is within time square already).

God i miss NYC.

Crazy.
Main reason why is because when they go out of their homes (to work or whatever) they will already experience diversity all around, so why not live somewhere in NYC in where a huge part of your actual home is with in your reach?

Also, for a family that just moved in it is sometimes easier to adjust and get help from your own ethnic group because they understand what it is like, and they share the whole cultural bond with each other. A whole new life in a new world is cool but sometimes most ethnic groups need a cultural fix and just have a window to return to their ways of life.

This is what i miss in NYC. NYC's diversity isn't just people of different races but you really can experience pieces of their home/culture. I can't do that here in Orlando ... most ethnic communities are way already in their seniors and the other half isn't from my home so they don't really relate to my cultural fix.

NYC >> Orlando

OP may be better off considering the NJ side of the river. Journal Square has a huge working class Indian population and is connected to Times Square via NJ Transit buses.
