Meanwhile Asian and Indian kids are working on their studies.
Some things will never change.
And when they grow up, the ghetto punks will blame racism for their failure in life. And obviously some will also get in trouble with the law and then they of course will blame the racist justice system.
Why? The kid was probably so angry in general that when he thought he was being honked at, he took it as an act of aggression against him and starting attacking. Maybe something is missing from the story, but I wouldn't assume that it is, since obviously this was a very angry and aggressive group of kids no matter what the full story is.
In life, I only worry about what I have control over. In that situation, the driver could have easily turned on another street to get away from them, could have did several things. So what if it added 5 minutes more to my commute than rather to get in some mess and have to be in front of a judge.
This might even be more of a problem when congestion pricing starts, then you'll have bicyclists come in from Brooklyn and Queens over the bridges...
I agree. The driver could have slowed down and allowed that mess of "young adults" to bike on, made a turn ,etc.
If the driver were to hit one of those kids with his car he would go straight to jail or worse get assaulted by those kids. Similar to the Asian guy in the West Side Highway Incident.
I am not sure you can get away from a pack like that if they are intent on coming after you. They can go down any street whereas an automobile cannot. You also can get stuck in traffic while bikes do not. If you panic, you can easily hit a pedestrian or another car, making a situation even worse for yourself.

And guess what I'm doing then - calling 911 on my phone while I'm driving to the nearest precinct, simple
I dont have time to play with these people, I have a family to take care of, and I dont have time to entertain nonsense in the street. I'm not getting into it with them.
