Not very smart for investing in overpriced education. Consider the avg price of college tuition is about $30k a year. You take that money, invest it in the top index funds at any decade even at the highest point in the market before a crash you still doubled your money after 10 years. Anybody that takes $30k and puts into vocational training that only costs about $5k/month and takes just 2 month to learn get much further ahead than having a 6 figure debts and working as a trainee somewhere making $42k a year.
I always wonder why so many transplants come here to make $50k while COL is $30k, they could've stayed back home and make $50k while COL is less than $20k in their home state.
