Don't lose hope if you're waitlisted. People drop out at the last minute for all different reasons. You may be lucky! I heard about one building where the lottery tenant lasted for one month and moved out. All sorts of things happen.
If you are waiting on a 1br in the 70ami you will be waitlisted. I was told that they used those to fulfill the mobility/disability requirements, there was 1 left over but someone with log in the 20s got it.. I will be getting a refund from BG for the $50. What kills me is that BG should’ve simply told me that instead of having me wait. Good luck to the rest of you. If you are in the 130ami you are still in the race. The 70% got too many applicants since 70-80ami rarely get lotteries.
If you are waitlisted, you have the right to get your $50 back. Do not let them lie to you and say it’s not refundable. They are trying to steal your money. According to the marketing guidelines, they can’t even collect the $50 without having an apartment for you. Complain to HPD if this is the case. They will help you.
I am new to this since it is my first lottery. I went in for an interview back in August and was just contacted by the leasing agent that is working on my file. She wanted to confirm some information. Is this good news? Or is it still way too early to tell?

Thanks for the info! How did you find out?
That's a bummer but you'll never know what'll happen!
