80 million in budget cuts being proposed for the department. Not good news for hiring. Also not good news for a new contract.

So we can leave e-waste out for collection on regular pickup days again? Or, is it recycling?

We just lost our first sanitation worker to the virus. Sanitation worker Copeland was 46. He worked out of q12. As far as i know he is the first to pass from the virus. We have not received any protective equipment in my garage. If he got sick while at work that would be really unfortunate. We are the forgotten civil service in this city. This job is dangerous enough without the virus. R.i.p Copeland.

Neither, take it back where you bought it. We're not picking it up. LOL

Additionally, budget writers are cutting $24 million from the Transportation Department and $80 million from the Sanitation Department, though $52 million comes from a budget surplus thanks to a mild winter season.

Another $106 million will come from a public sector hiring freeze and vacancy reductions.
