Since there hasn't been any information on this site about the recent exam, I figured I'd start up a little chit chat and see what you guys and ladies have been hearing about how many people passed, when will the first class be, and when the next supervisor/superintendent exam will come out again.
As long as you remember this is a PUBLIC site and most people here are not DSNY. You will have the general public reading about inner workings about the department. Sometimes thats not a good idea.
There is a "Private" facebook group with about 3000+ San workers and supervisors. We talk about this stuff there all day long in a mostly private setting. Look up "DSNY Proud" on facebook and apply to join. There are a couple questions you have to answer to be accepted. This ensures you work for DSNY.
I hope this forum gets lively once the list is established. Rumors are they are thinking of dropping the passing score to 60 since not many people passed.
It'll get lively due to the 50%+ throw in rate. Unless you get spoonfed through this position it ain't worth it. You have some doing the worst assignments in the worst neighborhoods and others sitting in front of a computer downtown. Dsny swamp needs to be drained.

The turnover rate is even higher on the current list since it's been so long and towards the end of the list.
Heard from a fairly reliable source (take that with a grain of salt because I know you’re going to anyway) that they’re going to put in a class at the end of April. Apparently they want to cease this current list at all costs, and the city is very very short on supervisors.

Supervisor at my garage have been making OT, Charts and Vacation since the new year started. They are loving it but always mention how short they are on supervisors. Hopefully the next class whenever that is, will be from the new test.
