Not really. The U.S. mistakenly invaded Iraq making 9/11 almost inevitable.

The first was with Iraq was not only BEFORE the 1993 bombing, but it was in response to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait.

At the time of the first WTC bombing, the U.S. was occupying Iraq, which pretty much continues until today.

I was also in 8th grade, and didn't really understand what it all meant. I believe my aunt picked my cousin and I up from school and told us about it. For some reason, I remember it was raining, a nor'easter? I always associate nor'easters with that bombing to this day.

No. It was snowing, a heavy, wet snow, but there was no major wind.

I was in 8th grade as well and in Idaho. I remember I wondered why it made our news and wondered why it was so important to know. I think that was my first peak of interest in NYC. I also recall thinking if it's that important it will happen again until they succeed with it. Then 9/11 happened with the same buildings. I still wonder why they picked those buildings?

I also was enamoured with the coverage of Operation Desert Storm in the nightly news. However, in hindsight I think that programming gave me a very biased opinion of the MENA countries, after further study and experience. I swore to my childhood self back then that from what I saw I'd never marry a Muslim and here I am. Never say never.

Huh? No offense but you like the only one who doesn’t think WTC is vulnerable (target) or an important landmark...
