I moved to NYC from DC at the lowest point of my life some years back and have gotten nothing but love and help here. Native New Yorkers might be blunt but y'all are genuine, most of y'all are good people, nice people. I really don't think New Yorkers are much different from people from other east coast cities close-by, but you are exposed to more S*** here at a higher frequency which can numb you.

I love New York. I'll defend the city against anyone that has anything sly to about it. It's my second home and I got back on my feet and became self sufficient again by moving here, just off inspiration and being pointed on the right direction.

You'd be surprised. Alot of people see NYC as a cold, mean, rude place.

Negative Rep? Everyone I know who has been to New York has loved it. I lived in NYC and have very good memories of it.

A good portion of this country thinks New Yorkers are grimey. Many people especially from the South see NYC in a negative way. When I go out of town to other states and tell people I live in NYC they say all types of crazy stuff.

The only people who hate on New York are conservatives who don't like New York because it's super liberal

And the southern states are still pretty conservative. There's a anti New York sentiment down there.. Not everywhere nor is every southerner anti NYC but I have noticed that a lot of people from the South don't like New York for some reason.

They don't know the real NYC. It can be be the best place to spend your time. That being said I like places like Wyoming and Montana too.

Facts. I hate when people from states like South Carolina or Tennessee look at NYC like its the scum of the Earth.
