Interesting is the buried link to the Starrett City proposed sale. Trump owns 14% of Starrett City and HUD will have to approve the sale for BIG money and eventually BIG rents. So Ben Carson will get final say on whether the Donald gets a windfall and his tenants get screwed.

Just read it. Sh** is real for Starrett City tenants
The article doens't mention. Will he be criminally prosecuted, or does he just lose his lease? I don't see how you can claim a $24,000 salary but making 10x that without falsifying or hiding info.

He probably hid it in a LLC or a offshore account and falsified documents to make himself appear poor
They should prosecute the sh** out of him. He was already sued. People in this city really NEED affordable housing, and for him to STEAL housing is dispicable. I have no respect for people like him.
llc would not do it . you can't hide a thing in an llc since an llc passes everything to you personally . tax wise an llc is transparent . we have an llc that holds our real estate . the llc can not retain 1 penny that is not passed to us personally . the llc pays no taxes on its own . it reports on a k1 and you have to deal with any taxes .
Wait, I'm confused. Did his income grow after he moved in? If so, that's allowed. If he hid income at the time of leasing, that's not allowed.
The articles mention recertifications- I thought that once you were in, you were in for life? You don't have to requalify for these lottery apts every year. It is supposedly acceptable to make $100k+ as long as you qualified when you got the apt.
The title is misleading. How many times have I read around here that after the 40X rule, 200K is not really that high of a salary, and for NYC standards anyway, aren’t really considered rich.
